The Science Writing Intern will contribute to the writing and content creation process at the company, and with its initiatives, and its clients in the sustainability and social enterprise sectors. In this role, you’ll help the team and clients to advance scientific knowledge and communication around critical work in climate change and sustainability worldwide.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the following, and will evolve over time based on feedback from the CEO and Creative Director:
• Primary responsibility when beginning role: Work with the team to develop marketing content translated from science or technical documents for clients, including marketing goals, and writing developed for a broader audience.
• Contribute to the marketing efforts for Carson+Co Global (C.C. Global Inc.) and our initiative companies: Envirorun, LLC; Element50, LLC; and The Greenook, LLC
• Develop process and training documents for managing accounts and communications, especially within the company’s initiatives.
• Continue to research and learn science, sustainability, and climate change writing best practices and terminology.
Requirements
• Understanding of marketing industry and/or science writing or science background
• Previous experience in an office environment a plus, but not required
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to present your ideas well in person and in writing
• Self-motivated with the ability to solve problems on the fly
• Being a team player, able to give and receive constructive feedback
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office (graphics editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop are a plus)

The Science Writing Intern will report directly to the CEO, and work closely with the Creative Director in a team effort to grow the company.
