Dow Jones News Fund 2017 Paid Summer Internships

Since 1960, the Dow Jones News Fund has provided talented, well-trained college interns to news organizations nationwide, launching the careers of thousands of journalists.

College juniors, seniors and graduate students are invited to apply for the 2017 internship program. Internships will be available in data journalism, digital media, business reporting and interactive news editing.

The News Fund provides students with one week all-expenses paid training program in the latest news gathering and storytelling technologies; followed by paid internships at top media companies.

Students earn $400 or more per week from news organizations and receive $1,000 scholarships from the Dow Jones News Fund.

This is a highly competitive program. To be considered, you must take a test that covers current events, AP Style, grammar and usage. The test requires students to edit stories and write headlines for digital and print platforms. Data interns solve a set of problems. Digital interns answer technology-related questions. Business reporting interns edit a business-related story.
