90.3 KRNU has been nominated for the most improved radio station by the College Music Journal’s College Radio Awards. Two student staff members, Joe Teplitsky and Lucas Miller, will represent the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in New York City on October 18-22.

"This is the most respected conference of its kind in the country," said Rick Alloway, KRNU General Manager. "It is a great opportunity for our student staff members to learn a lot about the radio industry by interacting with industry professionals and other station staff members. We are very pleased to have nominated for the most improved station award. It is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of Joe, Luke and all of our student staff members."

Joe Teplitsky is a senior with a double major in broadcasting and English. The Omaha native held an internship with Clear Channel Communications, which is the largest radio conglomerate in the world, before he began his freshman year at UNL.
