Marketing Coordinator - Mellow Mushroom

Mellow Mushroom Lincoln is seeking a part time Marketing Coordinator to be the main liaison between the corporate office and the local store/General Manager. This position will require 15-20 hours commitment each week. This person will be the go to person for local promotions and events and must be a creative thinker and a self-starter. The Marketing Coordinator will be the on-site contact for in store events and local activations within the market.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Build brand awareness to the Lincoln market to drive weekly sales
-Establish Mellow Mushroom as a top destination for craft beer, craft pizza, craft cocktails, catering, and game viewing
-Social Media management to include creating a social media calendar, posts and guest engagement on Facebook and Instagram
-Create and manage local marketing communications through established email and text club and continue to grow both lists
-Seek out cross promotional events and partnerships that put Mellow Mushroom Lincoln “on the map” with local food enthusiasts
-Establish relationships with Railyard/Haymarket and other contacts for cross promotion opportunities
-Work with local breweries on unique ways to cross promote and execute events on site
-Send weekly recap to Field Marketing Manager
-Work closely with General Manager and team members on event planning and execution
-Attend local events with a team member dressed as Mel (mushroom mascot) and distribute marketing materials
-Create social media contests for guest engagement
-Create server incentive contests to execute local promotions when applicable
-Attend local networking events (ex: Chamber of Commerce) and develop relationships with community leaders

Qualifications:
-Must have reliable transportation and cell phone with text/email access. Must have access to personal computer and be able to work remotely. Must have general knowledge of social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat. Must have general knowledge of marketing, sales, and business processes. Previous restaurant experience is preferred. Strong project management, leadership, training & sales support skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Effective time management, organizational and leadership skills.

Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers was founded in 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia by three college students who just wanted a place where they could get a great slice of pizza. As of today this collection now numbers over 200 units in 22 states, and is operated under the franchisor, Home-Grown Industries of Georgia, Inc. headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. For over 40 years, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has been serving up fresh stone baked pizzas to-order in an eclectic, art-filled and family-friendly environment. -Each Mellow Mushroom is a newly designed space. We do not use cookie cutter décor packages. Every location is a reflection of some unique inspiration, often inspired by something unique in the area or some particular passion of the owner’s.

They wear “mellow gear” our branded, created t-shirts and hats when working. These too have a huge variety of design and styles. Many will also repurpose them and wear them in non-traditional ways.
-All locations have a full bar, featuring craft beer. The bars are a big focal point with top shelf liquors and all natural mixers. All locations also feature an open kitchen.
-We are a casual dining concept and high quality food and experience are of the utmost importance to us.
