eCommerce Marketing Intern - Nebraska Book Company (Lincoln, NE)

Position Overview:
The eCommerce Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the B2C marketing team in various marketing projects including email campaigns, social media efforts, paid media, and website optimization. This is a non-exempt, nonsupervisory position, reporting directly to the eCommerce Manager.

Primary responsibilities include:
> Assist in designing and implementing marketing campaigns for two textbook rental websites
> Analyze website traffic and customer data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
> Manage social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) and an editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging
> Assist with marketing email creation and deployment
> Monitor the success of various PPC marketing efforts (google adwords, affiliate marketing, etc.)
> Track and measure analytics on email campaigns, social media posts and other digital media efforts
> Find new and creative ways to market our textbook rental websites to college students
> Complying with all company personnel policies and practices as well as all federal, state, and local standards/requirements
> Other duties as assigned

Necessary qualifications, skills, and abilities:
> Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or related discipline
> Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter marketing strategies
> Experience with email marketing platforms (SendGrid, MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.) considered a plus
> Understands and can utilize emerging platforms, digital media, and web/social media management and measurement tools (e.g. HootSuite, Google Analytics)
> Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
> A self-starter who is able to work both independently and as part of a team
