Empowered Healing Massage and Bodywork is hiring a part-time marketing intern. Empowered Healing is a small locally-owned massage business located in Historic University Place. We are looking to bring on an individual who possesses knowledge and skills in social media, marketing, and can also serve as a professional representative of the business by fielding phone calls and scheduling clients.
This individual will possess an ambitious attitude, have the ability to interact with many different personality types in a professional manner, be a team player, attentive to detail, and have an outgoing personality. An individual working towards a degree (or with a background ) in marketing or advertising would be an ideal candidate.
Responsibilities include:
> Build a strong and consistent social media presence for the business via Facebook and Instagram and any other applicable platforms
> Write a weekly blog about massage topics
> Design and send marketing emails on a monthly basis
> Reach out to local assisted living/retirement communities and other applicable businesses in an attempt to establish more out-call accounts
> Attend monthly staff meetings (sometimes held bi-monthly)
> Familiarize oneself with massage modalities
> Become familiar with online scheduling system and use to schedule appointments
> Answer incoming phone calls on Thursdays and Fridays to answer questions and schedule clients
This is a paid internship. This position requires applicants to be available to work on-site Thursdays and Fridays from 2:30 - 5:00 pm. Some other meeting times will also be required. This position starts out at five (5) hours per week, and has the potential to move into more hours. This position has no specified end date.
