Charlotte Guthrie recently joined Nebraska Extension as an On-Call Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) Assistant through September 2026, with a primary focus on supporting the Growing Together Nebraska (GTN) project. GTN is a SNAP-Ed funded donation garden project that increases food security and promotes healthy food access. SNAP-Ed is a federally funded program that supports nutrition education and obesity prevention efforts for individuals and families eligible for SNAP benefits.

Charlotte supports donation garden efforts by coordinating harvest and distribution of fresh produce to local food pantries, as well as presenting nutrition education and recipe demonstrations. She also assists with program coordination, community engagement, and data collection and evaluation. Charlotte is currently pursuing a degree in Health and Human Services through the online program at Chadron State College.
