Professor Colleen Medill was one of the featured speakers at the Workshop on Teaching during the Southeastern Association of American Law Schools Annual Meeting. The purpose of the Workshop on Teaching was to highlight authors who have created experiential learning materials. The speakers explained how their published teaching materials use experiential learning exercises to enhance the learning process in the classroom and equip students with practice-ready professional skills. Professor Medill is the creator and series editor for West Academic’s Developing Professional Skills series of books. She uses her book, Developing Professional Skills: Property, in teaching her Property course at the University of Nebraska. Other featured Workshop on Teaching presenters were: Professor Prentiss Cox, University of Minnesota Law School; Professor Deborah Gerhardt, University of North Carolina School of Law; Professor Paula Schaefer, The University of Tennessee College of Law; and Professor David Thomson, University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
