Part of becoming a member of the legal community is learning to give back. On Tuesday, September 3rd from 12:10-1:00 in the auditorium, Tom Osborne will be here to talk about the importance of community involvement and mentoring. Nebraska Law alumna and former Lieutenant Governor Kim Robak will be here to introduce him and the Teammates program. If you aren't familiar with Teammates, it is the mentoring program started by Tom Osborne and his wife, Nancy. The program requires just one hour a week at a local school – a very low time commitment – but makes a huge impact in a youth's life. For more information on Teammates and the mentoring program, visit http://teammates.org/about-mentoring/. I encourage all students to attend, as this type of involvement is an excellent way to build your resume and make a difference in a meaningful way.
Lunch is provided. Please RSVP in Roscoe by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30th. Email questions to Christine at christine.truhe@unl.edu.
