The Law College Chess Tournament is happening!
It will be a four round, Swiss-style tournament. Boards and clocks will be provided and the games will be G30 (each player has 30 minutes per game).
The cost to enter is $5, and registration and payment will be handled through Eventbrite, which charges a small processing fee of $1.27. Sign up at: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-law-college-chess-tournament-registration-9931638799?aff=mcivte
The winner will take home $25, second place $15, and third place $10. The remaining proceeds from this event will go toward a fund for a Law College chess club and a donation to the Lincoln Chess Foundation.
When you sign up for the tournament, you will be asked what playing class you are in based off of your Elo rating. If you have no idea or are not rated, don't worry! This is just so we can determine who will play each other in the first round. If you have not played a lot of chess, you are probably in the Beginner or D Class, so just select one of those. Again, total accuracy is not needed here, so don't sweat it.
Please note that there is only room for 30 participants. It's first come, first served, so the sooner you sign up the better.
