First-year students, don't forget that On Campus Interviews are right around the corner! Heather and Holly and I are in the CSO to assist you and answer any questions you may have. All OCI coordination is done through our system ROSCOE. Most employers are asking for a resume and cover letter and some are also asking for a writing sample and an "unofficial transcript." The unofficial transcript is actually just an electronic copy of your fall grade report. These grade reports should be requested from Vicki Lill by e-mail and she will send an electronic copy directly to you for uploading. Do not use the MyRed screen as it is not the format employers will be looking for. Her e-mail is vicki.lill@unl.edu
Please note that while most of the firms coming to campus are looking for a strong academic performance in the fall semester, others are equally or perhaps more interested in your dedication and passion for the work they do. I spoke to Robert McEwen from Nebraska Appleseed Center recently and they are interested in hearing from all students with a passion for public interest law. If you have questions about participation in OCI, Heather and I will be in the office Monday and one of us will be in the student lounge for Coffee and Questions from 10:00 to 11:00.
If you need technical assistance with ROSCOE or are feeling behind, don't worry. Come see us anytime!
