Student Mac Users, Caution Before Installing New OS X Yosemite!
OS X Yosemite (10.10) will be released some time in the next couple of weeks, perhaps as early as this Thursday. We caution all students to delay upgrading to the new operating system until we get verification that Exam4 has updated its software to support Yosemite.

Eating in the Library?
Yes, we allow eating and drinking in the library, with these limitations:
1. If you eat in the library, treat like your parent’s living room: be careful, clean up and throw your trash away, and recycle!
2. Snacks only in the library. No meals, please. If you order a pizza or Jimmy John’s, please eat you meal in the student lounge or outside on a table.
3. If you order food for delivery, please make arrangements to meet the delivery person in the lobby or outside. We won’t accept deliveries at the Circulation or Reference Desks.
Schmid Law Library Facts and Features: NYTimes Digital Subscriptions
The law library has subscribed to New York Times Digital and is available to all students and faculty. Here’s how to access your subscription.
First, here are a few caveats.
1. If you already have your own paid subscription, you must logout of your online subscription first. Then log in according to the directions below. [NOTE: You will need to use a different email address from the one you’ve been using.]
2. The digital subscription will get you access to the full, online version on your computer through your web-browser. Once you register on campus, your subscription should then work anywhere on any computer or smart phone with the credentials you created when you registered here.
3. The digital subscription will work with the mobile app on your smart phone, but not your tablet’s app. To access NYTimes digital on a tablet, you need to use your tablet’s browser, such as Safari, Chrome, etc. (I don’t understand why this is so, but NYTimes says that that’s just the way it is.)
To access our subscription, follow these steps:
1. If you are logged into your own personal subscription on your computer, log out.
2. Follow this link to register: http://nytimes.com/grouppass
3. Follow the directions to create an account. If you already have an account you must use a different email address to register under the new service. Once you create an account, remember the email address and password you used to create the account; these will be your log in credentials for access on all devices and computer.
This service is only available to students, faculty and staff of the law college.
