Winter Ops Webinars: Winter Weather Outlook for 2020/2021
Al Dutcher, Nebraska Extension Climatologist, will kick-off a new webinar series hosted by NE LTAP on November 18 at 12:30 Central/11:30 Mountain with "Winter Weather Outlook for 2020/2021". Dutcher has been a leading authority on long-range weather forecasting in Nebraska for quite some time. He will share his outlook for snow and ice events plus some insight into how the forecast comes to be.
The series will focus on winter weather operations in November and December. Future topics include "Ice Preventatives and De-Icers" and "LPA's Using Social Media to Communicate to he Traveling Public".
The Winter Maintenance Operator Certificate is for those “behind the wheel” during winter maintenance events. Hosted by APWA, this national program will bring perspectives together for operator development. LPA and NDOT employee registrations are covered by Workforce Development. Continue reading…
