The Global Edge: Career Strategies for International Students & International Student Resume Labs
Are you an international student looking for assistance with finding jobs and internships after graduation? Do you need help with navigating the CPT and OPT process? Are you looking to develop a resume?
The Global Edge: Career Strategies for International Students workshop is a broad overview of strategies for international students specifically. This workshop will help you search for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) opportunities with U.S. employers, navigate the cultural differences between searching for jobs and internships in the US and abroad, and give you some information about things you can do to aid in your professional development. The Global Edge workshop will be offered on:
• Wednesday, November 6, 4:00 – 5:30 PM @ Gaughan Center, Ubuntu Room
The International Student Resume Labs are an open session on resume reviews, cover letter editing, job search strategies, and identifying CPT/OPT opportunities. The Resume Labs will be hosted by Raghav Kidambi, Global Initiatives Specialist, in collaboration with a Career Services Peer Guide. The International Student Resume Labs will be offered on:
• Wednesday, November 13, 1:30 – 3:00 PM @ Nebraska Union, Career Services Conference Room (236)
If you are unable to make any of the workshops or labs but would like further assistance, Raghav Kidambi is available by appointment. Please contact him at rkidambi2@unl.edu or visit his office in Love Library South 110.
