Pride in the Workplace: Conversations and Connections
Career Services and the UNL LGBTQA+ Center have an exciting event coming up called Pride in the Workplace: Conversations and Connections on Monday, March 16th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the Wick Alumni Center. Students in the LGBTQA+ community, LGBTQA+ allies, and any student who wants a workplace that's inclusive and equitable to LGBTQA+ folks are invited to join us.
Participants will learn about employers that support LGBTQA+ professionals and their programming to do so. After a brief presentation by the attending employers, Pride in the Workplace will also offer an opportunity for students to practice having professional conversations about diversity and inclusion in the workplace with representatives from 16 different companies. Students will gain connections with recruiters who represent organizations that promote LGBTQA+ equality in their company through building welcoming cultures and implementing supportive policies.
