Session overview:

It's a truism that communication works best when we "meet people where they are." But where are they? Who are they? And what are the best strategies to connect with them? In this session, we'll discuss how understanding the interactions of MMA -- message, medium, and audience -- will enable you to share your research in meaningful and impactful ways.

About the Preparing for Sharing Your Research workshop series:

Sharing your research - writing, presenting, publishing - is an exciting part of the research process, and it can also bring a host of new questions and nerves, whether it's your first time or your hundredth time sharing your work. In this Zoom-based series hosted by the University Libraries Dinsdale Family Learning Commons, you will learn strategies for visually representing your work, navigating publishing agreements and maintaining your authors' rights, effectively communicating your research with the public, and more. Each workshop focuses on different aspects of disseminating your work and provides an informal environment to ask questions and get help. Attend one, attend them all, or anything in between. Supplemental materials and recordings can be found for each workshop.
