Through the Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience (UCARE) program, Nebraska undergraduates learn how to conduct research or creative projects under the guidance of faculty advisers. Student participants in the UCARE program receive a $2,400 research stipend. The information session will introduce students to UCARE and undergraduate research at Nebraska. This session will also cover identifying and approaching a prospective faculty advisor and preparing a strong application for the program.

Brandon Rumbaugh is a retired United States Marine, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for It’s About the Warrior Foundation, which assists veterans in hard times. He also runs A.C.T. (Action Conquers Terror) Motivational Speaking. Annual Chili Cook-Off
The Chili Cook-Off is hosted by Student Involvement on East Campus. Competitors put their chili recipes to the test against the judges' and public members' taste buds. This event provides the opportunity for globally-minded students to explore options available in Nebraska and beyond, both now and post-graduation. Look for additional information about an information session concerning the Peace Corps in the evening following the event. The Peace Corps is specifically looking for Math majors right now. This is a collaborative event, hosted by International Business, Global Studies, Education Abroad, and the Business Career Center.
