Math Department Scholarship Applications Due May 20th!
The Department of Mathematics offers several scholarships to Math Majors that have demonstrated outstanding performance in their Mathematics and other related courses. Many of our current Mathematics majors receive scholarships that range from $500 to as much as $4,000 per year from one of the following scholarship funds:
- The Irwin Dubinsky Memorial Scholarship,
- The Dean H. and Floreen G. Eastman Scholarship,
- The Gallup UNL Math Day Scholarship,
- The Sylvia and Hans Jeans Mathematics Scholarship,
- The Rennemann/Luebbers Scholarship in Mathematics,
- The Dr. Hubert Schneider Memorial Scholarship,
- The Joel Stebbins Scholarship,
- The Drusilla Winchester Scholarship,
- and The Ruby Matzke Wittemore Scholarship.
Some of these scholarships are available to non-Nebraska resident students. All current Mathematics majors including those who were awarded the Eastman Scholarship as incoming freshman are encouraged to apply. Applications are due at 5 pm on Monday, May 20th!
