Programs in English as a Second Language offers an English as a Second Language (ESL) Support Lab for international students and scholars who may need language-related support in their courses, reading and writing assignments.
The lab can further assist students in:
- understanding homework or assigned projects from ESL or academic classes;
- understanding difficult reading passages from textbooks or other materials;
- brainstorming ideas for projects or formal essays;
- revising formal essays;
- incorporating and properly cite resources in formal essays; and
- improving grammar and vocabulary in assignments.
- Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Tuesdays from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Friday from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.
Students who will attend their first lab session is encouraged to read the PIESL ESL Support Lab guidelines.
