STUDENT ASSISTANTS NEEDED
Volunteer students are needed for registration and audio/visual support during the conference. Student assistants are required to be in attendance the entire conference and must be available to work full days from Monday through Friday. Student assistants will have their registration fee waived and receive $25.00 per day for food allowance. A limited number of students will be needed for the conference—assistants will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. STUDENT PRESENTATION AWARD OPPORTUNITIES
32nd Conference on Weather Analysis and Forecasting (WAF)/28th Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP)
Student presentations selected as part of the 32WAF/28NWP conferences have the option of being judged, with a $100 award going to the top 3 oral and poster presentations in each conference (12 awards total). Also, once abstracts have been submitted, the WAF/NWP committee will offer four travel grants to students whose abstracts have been accepted.

Students who wish to be considered for a travel grant must send the following documents to the program chairs (stephanie.avey@noaa.gov, alicia.bentley@noaa.gov, and matthew.beitscher@noaa.gov) no later than April 14, 2023:

• Statement of why they wish to attend the WAF/NWP conferences
• Statement of commitment to attend if they receive the travel grant
• Letter of support from their adviser

20th Conference on Mesoscale Processes
The Mesoscale Processes Committee encourages abstract submissions from students and early career researchers for which awards will be given for best presentations. Registrants should indicate their eligibility for student and early career awards when submitting their abstracts. Further information will be posted soon.

The Mesoscale Processes Committee is also offering a limited number of student travel awards to help supplement travel expenses. To be eligible for a travel award, the student must be a current AMS student member, non-resident in Madison, and must have submitted an abstract for presentation at the meeting. To apply please send your CV and a brief (1/2 page) justification to the program chairpersons Rosimar Rios-Berrios (rberrios@ucar.edu) and Yunji Zhang (yuz31@psu.edu) by 17 March 2023.

AMS STUDENT TRAVEL GRANT
AMS will be awarding three travel grants total for the 32nd Conference on Weather Analysis and Forecasting (WAF)/28th Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP)/20th Conference on Mesoscale Processes.
