Inviting Students to Attend the 40th Conference on Radar Meteorology

I am Leanne Blind-Doskocil, and I am a student member on the American Meteorological Society's Committee on Radar Meteorology. I would like to extend an invitation to you all to attend the 40th Conference on Radar Meteorology this year. If you are conducting research related to radar, I highly encourage you to attend the conference in Minneapolis, MN from August 28th to September 1st! There is also a virtual option for the conference. Specialty conferences, like this one, are a great way to network in a smaller setting than large annual conferences, and students are meant to be there!

At this conference, we will be having a coffee break for students in coordination with the AMS Board on Student Affairs, an early career night where you can network/mingle with other scientists in the field (with free food!), and there are opportunities for students to win presentation awards.

You can submit abstracts and find more information about the conference using the following link (once the website is back online): https://www.ametsoc.org/index.cfm/ams/meetings-events/ams-meetings/40th-conference-on-radar-meteorology/.

Additionally, we offer travel and registration grants for students who are not submitting an abstract. You can also find more information about the conference on our Twitter, @ametsoc_radar.

Registration will open in mid-June and close on August 24th. If you have any questions about the conference, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email at leanneb2@illinois.edu. Thank you!
