Title IX Course – Fall 2022 (3 credits, ACE 5)
HIST 112 will be available this upcoming fall and will focus on Title IX to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Title IX. In this class, you will learn more about the landmark legislation co-authored by Patsy Mink who attended UNL in 1947, and Birch Bayh of Indiana; develop legal history skills while focusing on a legislative bill that permeates your entire educational career; conduct research in partnership with public Title IX programming; and Learn more about the history of education, employment law, and gender equality in higher-ed AND K-12 settings. US Legal History Course – Summer 2022
HIST 115: Making & Breaking Law in US History will be taught in the 1st 5 week summer session (June 6 – July 8). This is an ACE 8 course and would be a great course for students interested in learning more about our legal system. See attached flyer for more information.
