We are pleased to present the first issue of the new, updated newsletter for the Mathematics Teacher Education Partnership (MTEP), titled MTEP Transformers! MTEP Transformers will be published monthly and is designed to provide timely information about the MTEP Project (see http://www.mtep.info) and secondary mathematics teacher preparation more generally. Each issue will contain:
- A feature article about ongoing MTEP work. Note that anyone involved in MTEP is encouraged to submit an article about the work they are doing, such as a report from your MTEP 2.0 team or Research Action Cluster.
- An infographic depicting some aspect of the work. In this issue, we provide a representation of the institutions that comprise the MTEP 2.0 network.
- A featured resource that you may want to explore.
- A list of upcoming MTEP events.
- Upcoming opportunities from other organizations that you may want to consider pursuing, such as conference announcements or calls for papers.
We hope that this newsletter will provide useful information to those actively working with MTEP, as well as those who would like to learn more about the project and keep updated on what is happening in secondary mathematics teacher preparation.
