National day for girls and engineering set for Feb. 24

The College of Engineering is joining with the Lincoln Children's Museum and several Lincoln companies to co-sponsor “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day” on Feb. 24 at Nebraska Innovation Campus.

“Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day” is a national initiative and is free for girls in grades 3-12, but registration is required along with a $3 processing fee per order.

The event will take place in two sessions, 9 a.m.-11 a.m. and 10 a.m.-noon, at NIC (2021 Transformation Drive).

The movie, "Dream Big, Engineering Our World," will be screened and followed by engaging, hands-on, age-appropriate engineering activities and conversations with female engineers and engineering students.
