Allison Zach of the Nebraska Invasive Species Program has invasive species teaching tools she would like to share with K-12 teachers.

Teachers can request education cards on this website: https://neinvasives.com/education/. The set is a folder and 26 cards with invasive species information. Teachers can use the cards to teach students with activities, curriculum and lesson plans on the website.

In addition, Allison has activity books for grade school students: one on the Asian Longhorned Beetle and one on the Emerald Ash Borer.

Teachers can check out an education traveling trunk (which is a backpack) free of charge (but must mail back after use at their expense). There is a trunk in her office at UNL and also trunks in Omaha, Chambers, Kearney and Scottsbluff. The trunk is applicable for grades K-12 and adults: http://neinvasives.com/education/pre-k-4-educational-materials/.
