Every Husker has a responsibility to become familiar with expectations related to COVID-19 testing, vaccination, and face covering use before the start of the fall semester.

FALL 2021 CHECKLIST

  1. All students, faculty and staff are required to complete re-entry testing Aug. 15-22, UNLESS you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days; in that case, you'll need to file an exemption request instead.

  2. Those who are unvaccinated are expected to wear a face covering indoors, and weekly testing is required.

  3. Those who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear face coverings, but are strongly encouraged to do so given the presence of the Delta variant.

  4. Anyone who is fully vaccinated and has participated in the Voluntary Vaccination Registry will be exempt from weekly testing after re-entry testing is complete. (See other exemption categories.)

TESTING DEADLINE

If your first class is on MONDAY, Aug. 23, you'll need to test no later than Saturday, Aug. 21.

If your first class is on TUESDAY, Aug. 24, you'll need to test no later than Sunday, Aug. 22.

First-time students, faculty and staff will need to download and familiarize themselves with the Safer Community app to manage testing and building access this fall.
