You probably already know you must have your NCard to access your residence hall and campus buildings after hours, but there are many other uses for your NCard that you likely don't know about. Keep reading to find out which campus perks require NCard identification.
Printing Kiosks
You may have noticed the Wepa printing kiosks scattered around campus. You'll need to scan your NCard to sign into the machine, upload a balance and get printing all the files you'll need for studying or coursework.
Nebraska Union Computer Lab
The computer lab on the first floor of the Nebraska Union is open 24/7, but you must have your NCard to enter the facility. This is a great spot if you're looking for a quiet, focused study area with a ready-to-use desktop at your disposal.
Dining Centers
Any student can eat at one of the numerous campus dining centers, but you'll need your NCard to do so. Don't miss out on a great meal and remember you must scan in at the entrance of each dining facility to grab your food.
Recreation Centers
To work out at either the City Campus Recreation Center or the East Campus Recreation & Wellness Center, you'll need to scan your NCard at the front entrance. Once inside, you can access a variety of group fitness classes, gyms, tracks and state-of-the-art fitness equipment.
Campus Bus Routes
The university partners with StarTran to offer bus routes Monday through Friday each week. Taking the bus is a time- and cost-effective way to travel to classes, so hop on for a free ride.
Library Books
Did you know that your NCard also serves as your library card? If you want to check out a book or other item from any of the numerous UNL Libraries facilities, all you need to do is to swipe a valid Ncard.
Library Camera Checkout
Located on the second floor link of Love Library is a digital equipment checkout center. To access the wide collection of cameras, tripods, drones, lights and more for free, you just need to scan your NCard to check out media equipment you need for your next project.
