NIGHT OF LISTENING: Gain knowledge about voting rights and voting by mail

Did You Know: In the 2020 Election we saw over 1,000 Huskers Vote by Mail

Huskers and community members are invited to attend and participate in Night of Listening: A Lincoln Community Town Hall at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 in the Nebraska Union Swanson Auditorium and on Facebook Live.

Huskers and community members will have the chance to hear from nonpartisan organizations to learn about their rights as a voter during the 2022 election. Huskers also will be able to gain information for voting by mail and learn about absentee voting.

Speakers in attendance include:
Amy Miller, Disability Rights Nebraska
Heather Engdahl, Civic Nebraska
Ken Bartling, Huskers Vote Coalition

Each organization's representative will speak for a short time before opening the floor to students and community members for questions and to share their stories.

Huskers and community members can submit questions for speakers in advance.

Night of Listening is hosted by the Huskers Vote Coalition and Lincoln Get Out the Vote Coalition.
