Classics Club

Join the club from 4 to 5 p.m. October 31 on the 17th St Greenspace for Battle Reenactment of the famous Battle of Thermopylae, in which 300 Spartans faced the invading Persians, led by King Xerxes, and all 300 died valiantly. The battle will be reenacted with pool noodles and members dressed in Halloween costumes.

Middle Eastern and North African Student Association

Join the club for MENA Influence On The World from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. November 1 in Louise Pound Hall 137 to learn about the inventions that originated in the Middle East and their influence on the rest of the world.

The club is hosting their annual Poker Night philanthropy from 7 to 9 p.m. November 1 at the sorority house. Winners will receive gift cards and nutritious beverages will be provided. Tickets can be purchased from Alpha Phi members.

Enjoy Froyo for a Cause from 5 to 9 p.m. November 2 at Yogurtini. The club is hosting the fundraiser to support a young woman from Tanzania with her schooling.

Join the club for their annual Latke Feed from 6 to 9 p.m. November 2 in the Nebraska Union Crib to enjoy homemade Latkes (deep-fried potato pancakes) to benefit “The Judy Fund” at the Alzheimer’s Assocation. Tickets can be purchased for $6 from Sigma Alpha Mu members in advance or $8 at the door.

Enjoy a Bathtub Dogs + Pitch Please Combined Performance from 6 to 10 p.m. November 4 in Nebraska Union Swanson Auditorium. At this show, both of the groups will be showcasing a wide range of music from each of their repertoires, as well as performing one song all together. All UNL students and the general public are welcome to attend.

Nebraska Shotgun Club

Support the club at their Turkey Shoot sporting clays fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. November 6 at Lincoln Trap & Skeet. The entry fee is $100 for 100 targets, coffee, donuts, lunch, and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Big Frig cooler. For a team of 5, the entry fee is $475 and includes everything previously mentioned.
