'Celebrate EVERYbody Week' offers free fitness events, Feb. 15-20

Celebrate EVERYbody Week is dedicated to healthy body image and focusing on the beauty and strength that graces each of our bodies. The annual event is in its second year being offered at UNL.

“We spend so much time analyzing what we do not like about ourselves and what we want to change. This week, Celebrate EVERYbody Week hopes to change that perception and help us celebrate what makes us special and unique,” said Sarah Lewis, group fitness coordinator for UNL Campus Rec and event organizer.

The week features several free events for UNL students and Campus Rec members:

• 8 TO 8:50 p.m. Candlelight Flow Yoga
City Campus Rec Center, Fitness Room
Candles, mellow music, and movements to unwind you.


• 6 to 6:50 p.m. High-Intensity Interval Training: Kettlebell
Recreation and Wellness Center, East Campus, South Studio
Fusing cardio and strength with kettlebells for a high-intensity workout that will leave you sweating.

• 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Cycling
Campus Rec Center, Cycle Studio
Low-impact, high cardio, and tons of fun!

• 7 to 7:50 p.m. Total Body Tone
Campus Rec Center, Cycle Studio
Full body toning and core work to complete your strength workout.

• 9 to 9:50 p.m. Zumba
Campus Rec Center, Fitness Room
Easy to follow dance steps, body sculpting movements, and pulsating Latin and International music produce a dynamic, high-energy setting.

• 12:15 to 1 p.m. Cycling
Recreation and Wellness Center, East Campus, East Studio
Low-impact, high cardio, and tons of fun!

• 5 to 5:50 p.m. Beginner’s Yoga
City Campus Rec Center, Fitness Room
Intro to breathing patterns and movements to unwind after a long week.

• 4 to 6 p.m. FREE Rock What You Got Dance Party
