The Johnny Manhattan Orchestra is a professional 20-member big band performing full orchestra arrangements of the greatest hits of the Swing Era and more, including music from Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, Les Brown and Count Basie. Each performance simulates a 1940’s live radio broadcast from a famous New York City venue featuring vocalists Kellyn Kelly, Ruby Diamond and Lena Lamour (a.k.a. Sandy Van Pelt) together with Master of Ceremonies/Trumpeter extraordinaire Johnny Manhattan (a.k.a. John Tavlin).

All performances are at the DelRay Ballroom, 817 R Street in Lincoln’s Haymarket. The DelRay will be set up cabaret style with tables and chairs surrounding a large dance floor. Full beverage service will be available. A short dance lesson will be given by the DelRay staff 30 minutes prior to the performance and is included in the admission charge. Participation in the dance lesson is optional.
