The University of Nebraska-Lincoln requires all new students to show proof of two separate rubeola measles/MMR immunizations or a positive rubeola lab result. If your student has not already submitted their immunization records on MyRED or at the University Health Center table during move-in, remind them to take care of this requirement as soon as possible.
Students who do not complete the health requirement will have a hold placed on their account. This will keep them from registering for spring semester classes.
To complete the health requirement, your student must:
- Log into MyRED.
- Go to Admissions and select graduate or undergraduate.
- Under Other Links, select Health Requirement.
- Choose Immunization Portal and enter the dates of your immunizations.
- Attach the relevant immunization record to the form in PDF format; the student’s first and last name and birthdate must be on the PDF.
Records must show that they had their first MMR vaccine no earlier than their first birthday and their second vaccine at least 28 days later. The form cannot be submitted until the relevant immunization record is attached.
