Nebraska's modified fall academic calendar created an opportunity for additional academic offerings for interested students beginning the week after Thanksgiving.

The Fall Three-Week Session will run from November 30 to December 18, after the end of the regular fall semester, and, like existing summer sessions, is a supplemental session. All courses will be fully remote. There will be no on-campus instruction.

Registration opened August 31 and students are encouraged to register early as classes are expected to fill quickly. Scholarship and financial aid options are available to qualifying students.

Students can catch up or get ahead on their degree requirements, broaden their career skills or explore new topics. Nearly 60 remote courses are being offered and are organized into four categories:

  • degree completion
  • career and research skills
  • discipline-specific learning
  • solving interdisciplinary and innovative grand challenges.

Students can find course descriptions in MyRED by searching for “three week” in the session search field.
