While it may seem you just moved your student into the Residence Halls, it is time to begin thinking and preparing for your student to move out of the Residence Halls for the academic year. We have truly enjoyed the opportunity to have your student with us in the halls this past year and hope they have had an experience that has been positive.
As your student begins to think about summer plans, all academic year residence hall contracts end on Saturday, May 9th at 10 A.M, which means your student will need to be completely moved out of their residence hall room. Encourage him/her to look at all the information from their Resident Assistant and on the bulletin boards in their hallway as we inch closer to move-out, to ensure your student has all the information they need to properly check out of the residence halls.
As you may remember from move-in, we will have lane closures and one-hour loading zones on 16th and 17th Street, near Pound Hall and Neihardt Residence Center. We will also have loading zones in the University Suites Parking Loop for 30 minutes as well as meters hooded for loading near Selleck Quad from Wednesday, May 6th through Saturday, May 9th.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding move-out, please don’t hesitate to contact me Melissa Peters, Assistant Director of Residence Life, at mpeters2@unl.edu or 402.472.3882
