If your student needs prescriptions or over-the-counter items, tell them to visit the University Health Center pharmacy. It’s the easiest, most cost-effective option for Huskers.

The full-service pharmacy fills prescriptions not only from Health Center medical providers, but also from those in the community and out of state. Transferring prescriptions is easy. Simply have your student bring in the bottle with the label indicating he or she has refills remaining. Your student can request refills by app, online or phone and pick it up when it’s convenient for them.

Health Center pharmacy staff members place an emphasis on individual patient counseling and will take time to discuss drug interactions, dosage, appropriate storage and side effects with your student.

Hundreds of over-the-counter medications and wellness items are available at the Health Center pharmacy for an affordable price. From pain relievers and allergy tablets to feminine products and soap, students can find most of what they need on site. Many of these items are less than $5.

If your student isn’t feeling well and needs a quick fix, tell them to stop by the pharmacy during business hours to grab a free 24-hour dose of acetaminophen, antacid and ibuprofen.
