The University of Nebraska Lincoln has made continual strides with adaptation during the COVID-19 pandemic. In continuing to keep students, faculty, and staff safe, recent implementation of the saliva testing on campus has become available through the Safer Community app.
Procurement Services was able to assist with the set up the saliva testing on campus, including the app and mobile testing centers. Due to strong relationships with strategic suppliers, we were able to have a portion of equipment and consumables on campus on a faster timeline. The implementation of the testing sites was completed in turnaround time of 4-6 weeks.
The saliva testing sites have been available on campus since mid-January. We look forward to the continued use of these testing centers to maintain a safer campus for all. For more information on the Safer Community app and testing, visit https://covid19.unl.edu/safer-community-app
