Asking the right questions: STEM Self-Efficacy group update

The STEM Self-Efficacy group completed its development of items for the STEM Self-Efficacy scale, which has 27 five-point Likert questions covering eight dimensions. Two subject matter experts provided feedback about the content validity of the scale, and the team modified several items and added another in response. We submitted a proposal to CSCC to present our scale development activities, as well as evidence for reliability and validity. It was accepted! However, there is much work ahead, as the team must distribute the scale and several demographic questions to STEM undergraduates this month to collect data for the presentation. See you in Salt Lake City!
