Mapping the journey of Invisible Labor

Invisible Labor team members are excited to present at the upcoming CSCC conference. The title of our presentation is Illuminating Invisible Labor and Institutional Hygiene in Community College-University Transfer Partnerships. In addition, team members are in the process of having three journal manuscripts member-checked (to “member-check” we ask those whose voices are represented in the manuscripts to review and provide feedback) and copy-edited (thanks, Meghan L!).

At a recent (1/26/2026) PROSPECT Whole Team Meeting, invisible labor team member Michelle Maher (UMKC) offered an overview of journey mapping, a data collection technique the team incorporated to increase manuscript trustworthiness (“trustworthiness” in this case means to demonstrate study findings represent what occurred within the transfer partnership). You can view this presentation here.

The invisible labor team sends shout outs to all team members and to Meghan L. for her excellent copy-editing contributions to our manuscripts.
