The field of research is one that plays an integral role in the advancements of today's world. From treatments for some of the gravest illnesses to the very programming of our cellular devices, research has made a significant impact in all areas of our lives. However, the availability of resources to help discover ways to get involved in research is limited. That is precisely why the UNL Club of Research (UCORE) was formed. With UCORE, we will be able to bridge the gap between the students and the opportunities to both learn more about and get involved in some of the most exciting projects going on in science today!

UCORE Mission and Vision: The UNL Club of Research (UCORE) is dedicated to bridging the gap between the many amazing research opportunities and the students, through engaging activities and keynote speakers. This will be accomplished through the orchestrating of thought-provoking meetings, where we will dissect literature in intricate detail. Along with that, we will discuss hot-button topics in the research community, have open conversations with professors and distinguished faculty on campus about research projects going on at UNL, and provide the many research-related opportunities for students to participate in.

The UNL Club of Research general meetings are established to accomplish the following: Provide students the ability to explore careers in research, challenge students on their understanding of research and why they are interested, create strong leaders in the researching world and develop networks between fellow students and established researchers in the Lincoln community.

In response to the challenges faced with COVID-19, our organization is providing an alternative format for attending meetings, if they are unable to make an appearance in person. We will be utilizing Zoom as our alternative method of leading meetings for these individuals so that they are still able to participate.

The recurring general meeting will occur at the following meeting ID: https://unl.zoom.us/j/94436005204
