Every year, UNL and UNO work with the American Academy of Diplomats to provide university students and the general public a chance to hear first-hand from retired U.S. Ambassadors and diplomats about their experience and predictions for current foreign affairs issues. This year, the theme of the forum is “Confrontation and Alliances in Europe,” evaluating the U.S.’s interest in the European Union, NATO, Iranian sanctions and Russian influence in Europe.
All students, faculty, staff and the general public are invited to attend the Forum for free this year, on Monday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. or Tuesday, September 22 from 2 – 4 p.m. Both sessions will have the same content and same speakers.
Registration for both sessions is available at https://go.unl.edu/amb-forum.
The guest speakers for this year’s event include Ambassador (ret.) Ronald E. Neumann, Honorable Molly K. Williamson, Ambassador (ret.) W. Robert Pearson and Ambassador (ret.) Deborah A. McCarthy. You can learn more about the event and the speakers here.
