We are hoping to quickly hire up to two museum technician positions, most likely at the GS-5 level (currently around $32,300 per year), through an emergency hiring authority. The individual would assist with lab work (artifact analysis, collections rehousing, cataloging, management of project records, etc.) and general museum-related duties (collections trouble-shooting, environmental monitoring, integrated pest management, museum housekeeping, etc.), as well as contribute to field projects in our parks. It is a one-year position. The hiring authority for this type of position is more streamlined than our usual process and interested individuals simply need to submit a recent resume and transcript to me for consideration. We'd like to have the individual(s) on board by March 1, 2023.
