The UNL Russian, Czech and Global Studies Programs in partnership with Love library are organizing a creative initiative “Multicultural Spring Tree” project on campus. The goal of this event is to showcase various traditions, to encourage the study of different cultures and languages, to promote diversity, inclusion, intercultural awareness and tolerance, and celebrate spring. On Wednesday, March 28 (4-7pm at Kackie Gaughan Multicultural Center Lounge (1st floor)) students will get together to make various decorations using different techniques from Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, German, French, Japanese cultures (e.g. using paint, beads, threads of different colors, spices, grains, straw, wax, etc.).
