The UNL Wildlife Club and the Lincoln Journal-Star presented the Howard L. Wiegers Nebraska Outstanding Wildlife Conservation Award to Rick Brandt of Roca at the club's banquet April 14. Brandt founded the Nebraska Big Game Society, working to help elk, deer and bighorn sheep thrive here.
