Spring 2026 SNR Departmental Journal Club

Hardin Hall
Hardin Hall

Wednesdays from 4:00–5:00 PM in HARH 162N (reserved) or a predesignated off-campus watering hole

Proposed Theme: “Great Plains Futures: Adaptation, Resistance, & Resilience in a Time of Rapid Change”

• This year marks the Center for Great Plains Studies’ 50th Annual Great Plains Conference, so let’s gather to discuss some recent or classic papers in ecology and natural resource management relevant to the next 50+ years of research, management, and policymaking here in Nebraska and across the Great Plains.

• This journal club is open to everyone (all current SNR undergraduate & graduate students, postdocs, staff, faculty, and even faculty emeriti are welcome to attend!) These discussions are intended to be informal and fun while connecting folks across subdisciplines.
