The association's executive board of directors has retained executive search firm Witt Kieffer to assist with the search process. Questions about the position may be directed to the Witt Kieffer team at UNLAA@wittkieffer.com.

The next NAA president/chief executive officer will sustain the university’s positive momentum and continue NAA’s support of the university’s goals by collaborating with alumni and friends across the globe, the athletics department, the University of Nebraska Foundation and other campus partners. The ideal candidate would be an alumnus/alumna or have other significant ties to UNL and/or Nebraska.

Diane Mendenhall, who had led the association since 2008, was named associate athletic director for development and ticket operations in the Husker athletics department effective Aug. 27. Shelley Zaborowski is serving as the association’s interim executive director.
