Star party planned for International Astronomy Day

To celebrate International Astronomy Day, the Branched Oak observation area will host a special star party from 8 to 11:30 p.m. April 18.

To celebrate International Astronomy Day, the Branched Oak observation area will host a special star party from 8 to 11:30 p.m. April 18.

Astronomy enthusiasts of all ages are invited to this wonderful dark-sky location at 14300 N.W. 98th St., just 15 miles northwest of Lincoln. Participants will be able to view dozens of celestial objects through various telescopes, weather permitting. Admission is free.
