An extra layer of security has been added to university employees' direct deposit information within the Firefly Employee Self Service system.
Faculty and staff wishing to view or change bank information (which includes direct deposits to checking/savings accounts) in the ESS system, faculty and staff must log in on a computer connected to the campus/college network. For most university employees, this will be done from a campus work location.
Without a secure connection, the ESS system will display a blank page.
The added security will reduce the risk from external phishing schemes designed to compromise and employee credentials. This improvement only applies to bank information. All other Firefly applications are not affected.
