What if the most challenging moments at work were also your most empowering? What if you had the ability to turn a tense interaction into a productive conversation, building stronger relationships in the process? This isn't just a hypothetical; it's the core of the Mandt System training.
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Center on Children, Families, and the Law (CCFL), in collaboration with Organizational Development and Training, is excited to offer this powerful conflict resolution training to all UNL faculty, staff, and graduate students. This session is your opportunity to gain the tools and confidence you need to manage interpersonal interactions successfully and create a safer, more positive work environment.
Supervisors, this is an excellent opportunity to invest in your team’s growth and well-being. We encourage you to share this training with your employees and consider offering it as a professional development opportunity by covering the registration cost. By equipping your staff with these valuable skills, you're not only fostering a more harmonious workplace but also empowering your team to excel in their roles.
This powerful, evidence-based training will provide you with invaluable tools and skills to manage interpersonal interactions successfully, helping to build a safer and more positive workplace. You'll learn to manage your emotional responses to potentially negative or dangerous situations and interact with others in a positive way.
The Mandt System focuses on prevention by building healthy relationships and de-escalation for when conflicts occur. By leveraging the expertise of CCFL's Mandt-certified facilitators, this low-cost professional development opportunity is designed to help you:
Build healthy relationships: Learn about professional and personal boundaries, communication, and understanding the crisis cycle.
Improve effective interpersonal communication: Master active listening and non-verbal cues to better understand and connect with others.
Enhance conflict resolution skills: Acquire practical strategies for de-escalating tense situations and resolving conflicts constructively.
The training is led by certified Mandt System instructors Angie Graham and Jill Knox, both award-winning trainers at CCFL with over 50 combined years of human services experience.
"Conflict happens everywhere," Jill said. "Regardless of what your job entails, we are always interacting with people."
Join Angie and Jill to learn the necessary skills and tools to manage these situations successfully, reducing the risk of negative reactions and unsafe situations.
