Submissions open for OER Seed Grant

The STAR team can assist you with OER.
The STAR team can assist you with OER.

The Center for Transformative Teaching is funding an Open Educational Resources Seed Grant to encourage the adoption, adaptation or creation of OER materials, including textbook alternatives, assessment tools and ancillary materials. Submissions can be made through NuRamp beginning Feb. 11 through March 31. The grant will be awarded in mid-April for fall 2020 courses.

Including OER in your classes expands your options from a pedagogical and course design perspective while decreasing costs for your students. A long-term goal of this initiative is to cultivate and support the development of a network of instructors who implement, develop and adapt OER in support of student learning and encourage broad sharing of OER at the university and beyond.

The STAR team will be administering this grant and is available to assist with integrating OER into a course. Contact Brad Severa at bsevera@nebraska.edu with questions, for a consultation, or for information on submitting a proposal.
