Information Technology Services is beginning the process of moving all data from Box to Microsoft 365 services. After May 16, no new data can be added to Box. Starting January 2022, Microsoft’s suite of OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams will be the university’s preferred general-purpose storage and collaboration tools.
To help faculty make this transition, ITS is encouraging users to volunteer to move their data beforehand using this opt-in form. Faculty should not take any action until ITS has followed up with further instructions on how to prepare for the move.
Volunteers will have their Box data deleted four weeks after the migration. Any links to Box files, within Canvas or other resources, will have to be updated to the new OneDrive location within that timeframe.
